It’s the story of two boys whose lives have been touched by unspeakable tragedy.

Abdulbasit Al-Sattouf is now 14, and comes from northern Hama, Syria. Abdulbasit lost both legs above the knee in an attack on Al-Habeet, a village in the countryside of Idlib. Abdulbasit’s mother Meryem was killed in the war. Father Taan, and Abdulbasit’s siblings are now living in Turkey, where Palmyra Relief has funded new prosthetic legs and rehabilitation support.

Ahmad Abdulaziz is also 14, and comes from Jub Al-tine, in the countryside outside of Aleppo, Syria. That is where, in August of 2017, Ahmad lost both his legs above the knee in an aerial bombing. Ahmad lost his father in the war, but he and his mother and siblings are now in Turkey, where Palmyra Relief is helping him get new prosthetic legs and rehabilitation support.

As you can see in the video, Abdulbasit and Ahmad are in the process of rebuilding their lives, all thanks to the generosity of Palmyra Relief’s donors. Your donations enabled us to contribute the $32,000 needed to provide prosthetics and follow-up care over the course of a year for both boys.

Please consider making a donation to Palmyra Relief today, to help change the lives of children like Abdulbasit and Ahmad.
